I’m leveraging AI powered workflows including ChatGPT, Copilot and Adobe generative tools to build scalable, self service creative systems that reduce production timelines, increase efficiency and empower cross functional teams.
At Grainger, I was tasked in researching and applying emerging AI technologies across creative and marketing workflows. My focus extended beyond image generation to include AI assisted productivity and automation using tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. This work resulted in practical, scalable solutions that improved efficiency, reduced turnaround time and supported responsible adoption. I shared these findings with the legal team during a town hall, helping guide conversations around ethical use, governance and future applications.
Here are the key aspects of my research and contributions:
Generative AI Case Studies:
Explored the use of tools such as DALL E 2, Midjourney and Adobe Photoshop Generative AI to streamline photo editing, compositing and image generation. In parallel, leveraged ChatGPT and Copilot to support ideation, content structuring and workflow planning, identifying both short term and long term opportunities to integrate AI into creative processes.
Efficiency and Cost Savings:
Demonstrated how AI could significantly accelerate marketing asset creation while reducing reliance on time intensive and costly photoshoots. Additionally, applied ChatGPT and Copilot to prototype logic driven workflows, including the development of a self service product highlight flyer tool that can reduce production turnaround time by approximately two weeks.
Workflow Automation and Self Service Tools:
Designed an AI assisted online form that allows sales team members to generate on brand product highlight flyers independently. This solution transformed a manual design process into a scalable self service system, improving speed to market while preserving brand standards and design quality.
Diversity and Inclusion:
Highlighted AI’s potential to support diversity, equity and inclusion goals by enabling more representative imagery without directly impacting customers or requiring additional production resources.
AI Generated Imagery and Brand Integration:
Showcased high quality AI generated visuals created with Midjourney and Adobe tools, paired with manual refinement to ensure accuracy, realism and alignment with Grainger brand guidelines. This included correcting visual details and seamlessly integrating branded elements.
Ethical Considerations:
Engaged the legal team in discussions around the ethical implications of AI usage, including transparency, data considerations and appropriate guardrails. These conversations helped establish a balanced approach that integrates AI as a creative accelerator while maintaining trust, authenticity and brand integrity.
Through this work, I helped position Grainger to adopt AI in a thoughtful and responsible way. By combining generative tools with AI assisted productivity platforms such as ChatGPT and Copilot, I demonstrated how AI can enhance creative capabilities, empower cross functional teams and unlock meaningful efficiency gains without compromising ethical standards.
